REN was named after my high school biology teacher, Dr. Karen Stapleton, who passed away from breast cancer. Coincidently, Ren is the Confucian virtue denoting the good feeling a virtuous human experiences when being altruistic. The signature also features the starting line that forms when 3D printing as a border.
